Pumpkins are great for Halloween decorations (and they also taste great with chicken!) but we have discovered a new great use for them: The PUMPKINCANO! In this fun experiment we will see the chemical reaction when combining baking soda and vinegar.
What you will need
As many pumpkins as you want (the more, the better!)
4 drops of dish soap
A few tablespoon of baking soda
¼ cup of vinegar
You have to start hollowing it out, you have to make the coolest face you can imagine!
Now add a few drops of food coloring, 4 drops of dish soap and a small soda bottle into the pumpkin.
The last step is… vinegar! GET READY TO MAKE A MESS!
When we combine the baking soda and vinegar it creates carbon dioxide which is a gas that fizzes and bubbles, causing an eruption!
Watch the video below to see it in action!
